F1® Delta Time’s “Formula 1 Grand Prix de Spa-Francorchamps 2020 1A” Apex Track Auction begins on 6 January 2021!
Happy New Year to all our F1® Delta Time fans and players! We kick off the New Year in style with the auction of the “Formula 1 Grand Prix Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps 2020 1A” apex track segment!
Set in 300 acres of forest in the mountains of Belgium, Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is one of Formula 1’s most challenging and historic race tracks. The legendary circuit has been hosting the FORMULA 1 BELGIAN GRAND PRIX since 1925. Now this historic circuit is available on blockchain as a series of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) for the game F1® Delta Time, beautifully rendered in full 3D!
About Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps
The legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps pushes drivers and cars to their limits, with long straights and fast challenging corners. It is undoubtedly one of the favorites amongst F1® drivers, featuring famous well known sequences such as Eau Rouge and Radillon. Weather is often changing on this circuit, so expect to use those intermediate and wet tyres.
You’ll want a setup that highlights your car’s grip and downforce in the high speed corners, but with enough straight line speed to maximize the four or five flat out sections. Smooth is fast, as many of the long sweeping turns require high cornering speeds.
The first ever Formula 1 Grand Prix de Spa-Francorchamps Apex track segment will go on auction at 3 am (UTC) on 6 January 2021, with bidding exclusively in REVV. The starting price is 1,983 REVV. The auction will end on 9 January 2021 at 3 am (UTC).

About Track NFTs
One of the key elements of F1® Delta Time is that assets in the game are all NFTs, and this includes the tracks. Track NFTs are assets that will reward owners with passive dividends in the form of REVV. Track owners receive shares of all the gameplay fees and staking events that occur on their track — if you’re a track owner, just sit back and watch the REVV flow in.
Tracks are broken into multiple segments representing fractional ownership of the track, with each segment having a rarity tier similar to other assets in F1® Delta Time. Unlike other F1® Delta Time assets, track segments rank from Rare to Apex (there is no Common Tier). The rarity of the track segment defines its earning potential. For full details on the F1® Delta Time track tokenomics, please refer to this article: F1® Delta Time — The First Track Auction: Circuit de Monaco and Bahrain Edition 2020
The first ever F1® Delta Time track auctioned was the “Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2020 1A” Apex segment, which sold on 2 December 2020 for a record sum of 9,081,752.4764 REVV (approximately US$223,000 at the time of sale), potentially making it the most expensive NFT ever. Two more segments of the Formula 1 Grand Prix de Monaco 2020 were released shortly after on 21 December 2020 and sold for a total of 1,299,000 REVV.
